What is the MFIS Crepe Club? The MFIS Crepe Club is a club for MFIS 5th graders ONLY to introduce them to culinary and entrepreneurial skills.

When will the MFIS Crepe Club meet? The MFIS Crepe Club will meet once a month on the second Monday of the month (except for the month of May because of the 5th class trip) after school from 4:00 – 5:30 pm. Dates: February 9, March 9, April 13, May 18 and June 8.

How much does the MFIS Crepe Club cost? $10 per student

What will the MFIS Crepe Club do? Students will learn and practice how to make crepes on a crepe griddle with a trowel/spreader. Students will also learn about how to sell crepes in a farmers market booth setting (learning about marketing, making a profit, food safety, customer service, responsibility and teamwork).

Who is sponsoring the MFIS Crepe Club? The Milwaukee French Immersion Foundation, a nonprofit, volunteer-run organization of MFIS parents, grandparents and teachers, that was set up to support the French immersion community.

How do I sign up my students for the MFIS Crepe Club? Fill out this form and pay the $10 club fee by making a $10 donation to the Milwaukee French Immersion Foundation. Only signed up students with a paid fee will be able to attend the MFIS Crepe Club.

Deadline to sign up: Monday, February 2, 2026

Additional notes:
–Students must be respectful of crepe club leaders/volunteers and all crepe-making equipment. Failure to do so will result in dismissal from the club.
–Students must be picked up promptly at 5:30 pm.
–More details will be shared after the student is fully signed up.

July 17, 2026: Crepe Booth @ Bastille Day West (on Vliet Street) from 4-10 pm
Real-world experience. Students can sign up to make crepes for 2-hour shifts. More details to follow in May 2026. Parents/guardians must provide transportation.

August 22, 2026: Crepe Booth @ Washington Heights Boulevard Bash Crepe Booth from 3-9 pm
Real-world experience. Students can sign up to make crepes for 2-hour shifts. More details to follow in May 2026. Parents/guardians must provide transportation.
